Another visit to the Theatre Royal in Bath

This time, after a good lunch, we went to see the play of “My Cousin Rachael”. We had read the book by Daphne DuMaurier at our Book Club and were looking forward to seeing the stage version. We were not disapointed! It was superb. Full of intrigue and, just as with the book , you were left wondering at the end. A very enjoyable afternnon .

This week was time for our monthly book Club. We had all read the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Back. Very interesting to hear the views from our Ladies on this very thought provoking book and the message it conveyed. We’ll see how we get on with this month’s book.

On September 27th., we held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Nurses in the home of Anne Parker. After a busy couple of weeks of organisation and cake making, the day dawned and we were ready.

The house was soon filled with chatter and laughter. We were kept busy with the “Bring and Buy” stall, selling raffle tickets, competitions and, of course, serving tea and coffee.

At the end of the morning, we had raised nearly £700. Thanks to everyone for their amazing generosity.
