A sum of £200 has been raised for Radstock Carers’ Centre by Mary Smith of Chew Stoke.
Mary, who is a member of the Inner Wheel club of Chelwood Bridge decided to hold a Christmas coffee morning at her home to help raise some money for the club president’s chosen charity for the year.
President, Marjorie Robinson, had chosen the Carers’ centre and was delighted when she heard how much had been raised. She said : “A big thank you is due to Mary for hosting, providing coffee and homemade mince pies and also the beautiful flower arrangements.
“Thank you to everyone who came along, donated items for the raffle and bric a brac table. I really do appreciate your support.”
