Inner Wheel Presents money to Forever Friends

Each year a new President is chosen in each Inner Wheel Club, and each year the new the President chooses a charity to support during her year of office.

This year the new president chosen for the Inner Wheel Club of Chelwood Bridge was Marjorie Robinson, who has chosen Radstock Carers as her charity.
Last year’s president Heather Curtis chose Forever Friends from Bath as her charity, in grateful thanks for all the help they had given her when she was ill. At the end of her year a sum of £800 had been raised, which she was able to present to the charity’s community fundraiser Lauren Noble,  at a recent meeting of the club.
Ms Noble said : “On behalf of The Forever Friends Appeal, I would like to say a huge thank you to The Inner Wheel Club of Chelwood Bridge, for their very kind donation £800 towards our Cancer Care Campaign. I am continually in awe of our wonderful supporters and it’s great to see what can be achieved when members of our community come together.
The Forever Friends Appeal is the charity for the Royal United Hospitals in Bath. We fund projects that make a real difference to the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients cared for by the Hospitals each year, as well as the friends and family who visit them.
As one of our major campaigns, we are fundraising towards the build of a pioneering new Cancer Centre at the RUH. Our aim is to embrace a holistic, patient-centred approach to care; where each patient is treated as an individual with privacy and dignity,” she said.
